The Stars Behind Our Sun

I am not known to you. I claim no special academic title. I do not profess to be an apologist or a theologian of any kind: I can only profess to be a sinner.
With this said, I would like to share with you, in this fleeting moment, a thought from the minuteness of my intellect.
This is the story of each one of us in the day and in the night.

the wild voice day and night
We know we totally depend on the Sun for our survival. It is the Sun which maintains all life on earth and without which this planet would instantly freeze to its death to fall into the infinite abyss of the Universe. It is also during the sunlight filled day that we wake up, raise from our beds and prepare to dive into the external world outside ourselves and our homes.
People go to work, cars appear on the streets, stores open again, sounds are everywhere, children go to school, restaurants are filled with people, important world events take place, birds fly in our skies and flowers bloom: life explodes in all its glorious aspects as we – and everything around us – awakes and consciously lives with open eyes. And as we are busy focusing on all that we do and think, we forget that it is the Sun above our heads permitting all that works around and inside us to be sustained. Sadly, what results from our forgetfulness is the lack of gratefulness towards God for such a vital gift as we keep on carrying the weight of a thousand thoughts in our mind and of a cup of coffee in our hand while running on the way to work day, after day, after day.

Isn't this how many of us live today?

Then, as the Sun begins to descend below our horizon, it takes its light away from us by establishing its primary role in our "human time": as the king leaves, darkness advances to envelop us into the night. The animals go to sleep, silence starts to settle, people go back into their homes as if to protect themselves from a storm; the stores are closed, the traffic has disappeared, the malls are dark, the kindergartens are silent and the temperature is colder. Nothing out in that blackness inspires our human ambition.
From the beginning of civilization, the night has been portrayed as the sinister brother of the day with its cold, silvery Moon: a dead rock that only occasionally comes out of her hiding place to reveal herself entirely while plagiarizing from the Sun's light for the sake of her own glowing.
The howls of ferocious wolves would be the terror of ancient villages throughout the lands of old Europe while violent crimes are being committed in the darkness of some metropolis' alleys of Century XXI A.D.
And so we all go to sleep each night to rest for the next day as imposed by nature and tradition.

Night after night. Night after day after night. Always until death.

You, whoever you are reading these obvious lines which bring nothing new under the Sun: during your waking hours, have you ever decided to take a look at that same Sun with your naked eyes? You surely have, as all who ever lived under it, have. The sky is so stunningly beautiful with its intense blue sheet looking like a tropical ocean and yet, the source that makes it so we are not allowed to admire. Its mighty power is almost sacred as the windows to our souls are not equipped to stare at this sphere of fire. The Sun –humanity's best friend, life maintaining star, bringer of light and warmth, witness and cause of the best times of our life and our successes– remains the only thing known to mankind which cannot be looked upon if not at the price of blindness.
At some point, each one of us has found himself to be somewhere in the middle of a nowhere right as that luminous body allows darkness to enter our lives.
We are soon embraced by the frighteningly discomfort of a silent blackness in a lost field where humanity has chosen not to live. Confronted with a tremendous fear of isolation in total realization of our own vulnerable human state, our eyes look at the sky above almost as if in hopeful search of a light that is no longer there.
Then, as an unexpected revelation, a life changing discovery takes place and turns our fear into a most deep sense of wonderment: the dazzling beauty of billions of bright stars flickering on an infinite black dome. As our eyes admire the view of the Universe from a balcony called Earth, we are forced to immediately recognize the atomic size of our very being.
Some of these celestial bodies no longer exist and yet, their light remains visible to us as it takes millions of years to travel and touch our souls. Nothing around us, in these dark deserted hours, can take our awe away from admiring the firmament in its primal state.

My dear friends: on any given day's midday, have you ever stopped whichever activity you were focusing on as if the entire Universe depended on it, to think that those trillions of breathtaking stars are always behind our sky and Sun? The constellations that inspired poets, philosophers, astronomers and travelers for thousands of years are the reality upon us sealed by an illusion similar to the one of a Moon emanating her own light. The same star which the Earth rotates around for its own survival, blinds us to the whole of creation by painting some blue on our window's glass: a billion Suns at night can be stared upon for hours but one Sun at day is forbidden to be glanced for even one instant?

My dear friends, God Speaks to us in the silence of a lonely night. When everything is dark and frightening, He will show us what is found beyond the blinding limits of our earthly minds: the Truth, which exists always and independently from our awareness of It.
The light He Brings does not blind us or burn us like our Sun's because it comes as the light of an infinite number of Suns flickering in the darkness of our lives. Just as fear descends upon us in a dark and lonely place, so does it enter us during those dark times along our path on this remote planet. All we must remember is that, just as a candle light is enough to destroy the darkness of a room, so will those dots in an ocean of blackness bring hope in us.

To end this reflection, I would like to insert one of the most beautiful passages describing the Might and Power of God in Creating this World.

God answers Job

Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man;
I will question you, and you make it known to me.

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.

Who determined its measurements—surely you know!
r who stretched the line upon it?

On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb, when I made clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling band, and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors, and said, "Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed"?

Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
and caused the dawn to know its place, that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it? It is changed like clay under the seal, and its features stand out like a garment. From the wicked their light is withheld, and their uplifted arm is broken.

Have you entered into the springs of the sea,
or walked in the recesses of the deep?

Have the gates of death been revealed to you, or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?

Have you comprehended the expanse of the earth? Declare, if you know all this.

Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and where is the place of darkness, that you may take it to its territory and that you may discern the paths to its home? You know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!

Have you entered the storehouses of the snow,
or have you seen the storehouses of the hail, which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?

What is the way to the place where the light is distributed, or where the east wind is scattered upon the earth?

Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain
and a way for the thunderbolt,to bring rain on a land where no man is, on the desert in which there is no man, to satisfy the waste and desolate land, and to make the ground sprout with grass?

Has the rain a father, or who has begotten the drops of dew?

From whose womb did the ice come forth, and who has given birth to the frost of heaven? The waters become hard like stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion?

Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season,
or can you guide the Bear with its children?

Do you know the ordinances of the heavens?

Can you establish their rule on the earth?

Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
that a flood of waters may cover you?

Can you send forth lightnings, that they may go
and say to you, "Here we are"?

Who has put wisdom in the inward parts or given understanding to the mind? Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
r who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens, when the dust runs into a mass and the clods stick fast together?
an you hunt the prey for the lion,
or satisfy the appetite of the young lions, when they crouch in their dens or lie in wait in their thicket?

Who provides for the raven its prey, when its young ones cry to God for help, and wander about for lack of food?
Job 38-41

Why would you think trickery and mis-direction to get folks on your site then waste their time would ever work. Wasting our time is not conductive to a long site life. What's behind our sun is a serious search with equal serious expectation.

      June 25, 2016 at 12:46 PM

My apologies 'no', but I can't really understand your comment. Perhaps you were in google searching for astronomical research papers on the sun and this came up? I'm not sure what you mean. Either way, this article and the subject it deals with is as 'serious' as it gets.
May God bless you always and in all ways.

We do not really understand the meaning of your words, for there is neither mis-direction nor any intention to waste anyone's time in the work we do.
      God Bless you +++

I love your message here. God doesn't always come to us with a roaring voice, it is often a quiet whisper in the midst of the night. I always felt so small when looking at the stars. I have a weird sense of belief that the reason there are so many is because that is the energy of every person God ever created. When we go to "heaven" we go back into the universe to be with God which to me, is the biggest energy field there is. He is the entire universe. He is complete love.

Anyways, we all seem to get in a runt of existing but not really living. We go as the sun does, never really stopping to listen or see all the gifts, and signs and wonders God has given us. We turn a blind eye to them because we would rather listen to fear. I am guilty of this. We all have to "stop and smell the flowers" so to speak every now and again. We can't just go to God when we are scared. We need to go to Him like he is a best friend. We want to tell him the bad and the GOOD. Express are fears and our LOVE. I enjoyed reading this a lot thank you :)

My head and thinking had not been clear since then….that was in the Philippines…confession was made here in Canada….The only thing I got there is praying the rosary and wearing my scapular….It's Gods providence that I got out from that cult…shaken….God really has been good to me he has nudge me and guided me to surf and know all about the warning… the Internet….it has opened this good programs, blogs that caters to a dying soul,…. Suffering soul thirsty…of the truth….I'm happy that although the other blog was taken down…the wild voice and other blogs are around to sustain us…..I copied all the prayers by hand….I'm planning to copy the messages by hand too I hope I will have enough time….to copy the book of truth message 1,2 and 3

      Hi Maileen,

Do not make the same mistake again. Maria Divine Mercy has been exposed as a false prophet. Stay with the Church and keep away from these charlatans.

      God Bless You.

How interesting you would say such, Janet, for GOD'S PROPHECIES GIVEN TO US THROUGH MARIA DIVINE MERCY IN REGARDS TO THE TRUE FALSE PROPHET and WAR CRIMINAL (ANTI)POPE FRANCIS HAVE ALL COME TRUE. Let us first see what Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen said about the 'Bishop of Rome':

"We are living in the days of the Apocalypse–the last days of our era…. The two great forces of the Mystical Body of Christ and the Mystical Body of Antichrist are beginning to draw up the battle lines for the catastrophic contest. The False Prophet will have a religion without a cross. A religion without a world to come. A religion to destroy religions. There will be a counterfeit church. Christ’s Church will be one. And the False Prophet will create the other. The false church will be worldly ecumenical, and global. It will be a loose federation of churches and religions forming some type of global association, world parliament of churches. It will be emptied of all divine content and will be the mystical body of the Antichrist. The mystical body on earth today will have its Judas Iscariot and he will be the false prophet. Satan will recruit him from among our bishops".

Archbishop Fulton Sheen (source: The Thunder of Justice)

"His lies will enthrall a naïve group of Catholic followers. He will present a wonderful and loving external charisma and all of My children in the Catholic Church will be confused. One sign to look out for will be his pride and arrogance hidden behind an exterior false humility. So fooled will My children be that they will think he is an exceptional and pure soul."

Every calumny committed by the enemies of God against My sacred servants will be publicly applauded and presented as a good thing, so that the good name of the Church remains intact."

Message given to Maria Divine Mercy on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013
Freemasons celebrate pope Francis on March 14 2013. Grand Master Gustavo Raffi of the Grand Orient of Italy, speaks of Pope Francis as if almost prophesying a very accurate profile of the man as well as the actions and words he will soon display in front of the world. Here is the translation of his entire speech, which can be seen in the screenshot here below (taken directly from the official website"A man of the poor and far from the Curia. Fraternity and dialogue are his first concrete words: maybe in the new Church nothing will ever be like before. It is our auspicious that the Francesco’s pontificate, the pope who ‘comes from the end of the world’ may signify the return of the Church-Word versus the Church-institution, promoting an open relationship with the contemporary world, with non believers and not through the springtime of Vatican II"."The Jesuit who is close to the last of history – continues Raffi – has the great opportunity to show the world the face of a Church that must recuperate the annunciation of a new humanity, not the weight of an institution sheltered in defense of its own privileges. Bergoglio knows real life and will remember the lesson of one of his landmark theologians, Romano Guarini, who said truth and love cannot be separated"."The simple cross that he wore on his white vest – the Grand Master concludes – gives us hope that a Church of the people may find again the ability to dialogue with all men of good will and with Free Masonry which, as the Latin America experience teaches, works for the common good and progress of humanity, following Bolivar, Allende and Jose’ Marti’ to mention a few. This is the ‘white smoke’ that we are waiting for from the Church of our time"

        19) "I call on those of you who love me to listen carefully to the words of the false prophets. Watch, how they will not be questioned by priests"
Message from Friday, December 7th, 2012, The Book of Truth

        20) "The hatred will mount against you. You will be told that this work is from Satan"
Message from Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

        21) "From Holy Week, this year, the cracks will appear and the meaning of My Crucifixion will be twisted. New interpretations will be presented before the faithful and lies will pour forth from the mouths of My enemies. My Passion will be mocked in subtle ways and will not be immediately apparent. But when the focus moves from My death on the Cross and when strange gestures take place in My Churches, you will know that this is the beginning of the dismantling of My Church on Earth"
Message given to Maria Divine Mercy from Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 –

THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS. SECOND STATION: "Jesus takes up his cross" from heretic "pope" Francis:

'It is also the burden of all those wrongs which created the economic crisis and its grave social consequences: job insecurity, unemployment, dismissals, an economy that rules rather than serves, financial speculation, suicide among business owners, corruption and usury, the loss of local industry. This is the cross which weighs upon the world of labor, the injustice shouldered by workers. Jesus shoulders it himself and teaches us to reject injustice and to learn, with his help, to build bridges of solidarity and of hope, lest we be like sheep who have lost our way amid this crisis'.
THIRD STATION: Jesus falls for the first time.
'With the inner strength which comes to him from the Father, Jesus also helps us to accept the failings of others; to show mercy to the fallen and concern for those who are wavering. And he gives us the strength not to shut the door to those who knock and ask us for asylum, dignity and a homeland. In the awareness of our own weakness, we will embrace the vulnerability of immigrants, and help them to find security and hope.'
FIFTH STATION: Jesus is helped by Simon of Cyrene to carry his cross.
Only by opening my heart to divine love am I drawn to seek the happiness of others through the practice of charity: a night spent in hospital, an interest-free loan, a tear wiped away in the family, heartfelt generosity, farsighted commitment to the common good, a sharing of our bread and labour, the rejection of all jealousy and envy.
SEVENTH STATION: Jesus falls for the second time.
In him we glimpse the bitter experience of those locked in prisons of every sort, with all their inhumane contradictions. Confined and surrounded, “pushed hard” and “falling”. Prisons today continue to be set apart, overlooked, rejected by society. Marked by bureaucratic nightmares and justice delayed. Punishment is doubled by overcrowding: an aggravated penalty, an unjust affliction, one which consumes flesh and bone. Some – too many! – do not survive… And when one of our brothers and sisters is released, we still see them as “ex-convicts”, and we bar before them the doors of social and economic redemption.
NINTH STATION: Jesus falls for the third time.
May our contemplation of Jesus, who falls yet rises once more, help us to overcome the kinds of narrowness which fear of the future impresses on our hearts, especially at this time of crisis. Let us leave behind our unhealthy nostalgia for the past, our complacency and our refusal to change, and the attitude that says: 'But we’ve always done it this way!' Jesus who stumbles and falls, but then rises, points us to a sure hope which, nourished by intense prayer, is born precisely at the moment of trial, not after or apart from it!
        ELEVENTH STATION: Jesus is crucified.
Today many of our brothers and sisters, like Jesus, are nailed to a bed of pain, at hospital, in homes for the elderly, in our families. It is a time of hardship, with bitter days of solitude and even despair: 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'
TWELFTH STATION: Jesus dies on the cross.
The fraternal plea of the thief who became his companion in suffering, pierces Jesus’ heart; it is an echo of his own pain. And Jesus grants that request: 'Today you will be with me in paradise' The pain of others always redeems us, since it draws us out of ourselves. 'Woman, here is your son..' (Jn 19:26). But it is his mother, Mary, who stood with John at the foot of the cross, who dispels all fear. She fills that scene with tenderness and hope. Jesus no longer feels alone. So it is with us, if beside our bed of pain there is someone who loves us! Faithfully. To the end.
'I am thirsty' (Jn 19:28). Like the child who asks his mother for drink, like the patient burning with fever… Jesus’ thirst is the thirst of all those who yearn for life, freedom and justice. And it is the thirst of the one who is thirstiest of all: God, who, infinitely more than ourselves, thirsts for our salvation.
'It is finished' (Jn 19:30). Everything: every word, every action, every prophecy, every moment of Jesus’ life. The tapestry is complete. The thousand colors of love now shine forth in beauty. Nothing is wasted. Nothing thrown away. Everything has become love. Everything completed for me and for you! And so, even dying becomes meaningful!

        22) "It will not suffice that they, the enemies of Christ, take over my Son’s Church from within – they will desecrate Him in many other ways. They will change the hosts for Holy Communion and the meaning of what the Holy Eucharist is. They will say that It, the Holy Eucharist, represents humanity and that it is a sign of a new communion – a gathering of all people as one in the Eyes of God. You, my children, will be told that you are all in communion with each other and that this is a cause for celebration. The Holy Communion is the Body of Christ and is His Real Presence. It cannot be two different things. Yet, they will twist the meaning – all you will be left with, eventually, will be a piece of bread, for when they desecrate the altars and the Most Holy Host, my Son’s Presence will cease "
Mother of Salvation's message from Thursday, September 5th, 2013

        23) "They will desecrate my churches and turn them into nothing more than places of entertainment and social outlets"
Message to Maria Divine Mercy – The Book of Truth – from Sunday, June 10th, 2012
AMSTERDAM (NETHERLANDS) August 30 2014 – Alejandra Robles filmed the scandalous and desecrating set up created inside a Catholic church in Amsterdam.
Churches in the Netherlands, due to lack of believers, have become centers for amusement, restaurants, bars and museums.

        24) "Little, however, will be said about the importance of upholding God’s Teachings, Sacraments and the Proclamation of the Truth. Instead, you will see diversions, such as looking after the world’s poor and hungry, and this will be deemed to be your first task as servants of God."
Message from October 6, 2013 to Maria Divine Mercy

These are only some of the many fulfilled prophecies about FALSE PROPHET "pope" Francis I. These have helped millions convert to the Truth, for these are undeniable prophecies. Back in 2011, we used to wonder how a Catholic Pope could ever be so popular, so adored, so loved, so worshiped, so innovative, so welcome by all celebrities and medias. We had a hard time imagining this most impossible scenario.

According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were the first humans created by God, who lived approximately 6,000 years ago. According to the science, humans existed a long time before. The two lines of thought can be easily united, thanks to the omnipotence of God, who in the beginning created humans in a reality where there was no concept of "evil". Metaphorically speaking, Adam and Eve were expelled from this heavenly reality, find himself in another reality, namely in today's reality that we all know, where there is the concept of evil, as well as that of the well; not necessarily a reality where they were the first humans, but the first who experienced firsthand the life God had reserved for them (so they were the first humans in the "perfect" reality). From here it is clear that the story of Adam and Eve does not upset in the least bit the evolutionary linearity, and the seven days of creation relate to a creation took place in the reality of Adam and Eve, where everything was possible, even just create the stars, animals and everything else, without the scientific method and the time needed to have their share. In practice, they were the first men of God; whereas prehistoric man lived before Adam and Eve was a man, but it could be considered as an animal evolved from apes or created by something else, which had two arms and two legs, and that may have hybridazed with the descendants of Adam And Eve after they were "moved away" from the "perfect reality". God has endowed man about the concept of "infinity" and "eternity", as well as other questions can not be explained through the use of the scientific method, thus making humans free to believe in God or not, in a reality for us tricky and necessary for the construction and continuation of his project.

Another beautiful piece. And though, I'm certainly not an astronomer or anything of the such, I do have the pleasure of gazing up at the night sky. I've always had an affinity for the peacefulness of the dark. But my point of view changed because of my 11 year old daughter. She is obsessed with the planets, and constellations, and such. Because of her, I have learned so much more of the night sky than I thought possible (and yes, she IS only 11, but she LOVES this subject). We take her where we can out into fields and just watch the never-ending night, she tells us about the vastness of space. Through the eyes of an innocent child, our eyes have been opened to so much that we've taken for granted. She is the true gift from God to us.

I always find late at night when the night is at its darkness the perfect time to thank God for all he has given me. The sun during the day is a great way to nourish our souls. No matter what time of day one chooses it's important to sit down and reflect with God where you're going and where you've been, thanking him for keeping you alive in the process!

    My dear Paul:

I would like to be like you: A LEAF THAT IS TRYING TO REMAIN ATTACHED TO THE BRANCH OF A TREE THAT IS SHAKING IN THE MIDST OF A WHIRLWIND. I am teary eyed reading through your very enlightening post as well as God's reply to Job. I can see ME being unmindful of God's creative genius for mankind that he may live happily and well in this earth but for his disobedience, greed and selfish ambition. But perhaps God, in his genius, has planned all these too so HIS people, whom he created after HIS image might want to know Him, repent of his ways and once more turn to Him. Please pray that all leaves are strengthened and firmly attached to the branch during these uncertain and trying end-of-days time so that we can all be reunited in that glorious place that HE has prepared for all believers. May the PEACE of GOD be with you always.

    My dear Paul:
I very much would like to be like you: A LEAF THAT IS TRYING TO REMAIN ATTACHED UNTO A BRANCH OF A TREE WHICH IS SHAKING IN THE MIDST OF A WHIRLWIND. I was teary reading through your post about ME being unmindful of God's genius creations as well as God's reply to Job. Who indeed could create all there is so man can live happily and well but for his greed. I believe that what is happening these end time days is also according to HIS plan so that in the end man can know and see the full glory of our God. I just pray I will remain attached to the TREE in the midst of the whirlwind. Please pray that God will strengthen me until the end. PEACE. And may the love of God remain until we all get reunited in that glorious place HE has reserved for all who believe. Amen.

A very moving, thought-provoking post. You have such elegant writing skills! It's nice to be reminded occasionally about the beauty and majesty all around us in just the simple ordinary things we do and see every day.

      October 7, 2015 at 3:54 PM

      Dear Craig,

Thank you so very much for the kind words you have written to me. We are all waiting with patience and joy the unimaginable Beauty and Majesty that soon shall surround us in the eternal presence of God. The day that you and I are presented unto Christ Jesus, the joyful tears shaded from our eyes will be so many that only the merciful hand of the lord shall be able to contain. Even in that unfathomably perfect state we shall still need God's Mercy.

May Christ Jesus Remain with you from now until that very day and all the days forever after +++

Paul, I'm so happy to have come across your beautiful words accidentally. You must be a writer. You are a true soldier of Christ. May God bless you now and always.

      September 2, 2014 at 1:22 AM

      Dear Raquel,

I'm so grateful for the words you wrote to me.
I am not a 'professional' writer, but rather a leaf that is trying to remain attached unto the branch of a Tree, which is shaking in the midst of a whirlwind.

God Exceeds all that there is. Therefore, I can only hope that it is He, Christ Jesus, Who Is Touching others through the poverty of my own intellect.

Thank you for visiting this remote corner of the virtual lands of the XXI Century Net.
May God Bless you and Protect you –as well as your loved ones– from here to eternity.

Your discussion of celestial bodies is really helping me heal from a friend’s recent death, reinforcing the truth that we do live on (in a number of ways) after death. I must say though, this is another wonderful post, Paul. You really have a brilliant grasp of language and rhetoric and the talent to create pieces that are inspirational, insightful, and excite the imagination.

I must thank you for all the moving words written in your comment. I'm certainly most undeserving of such compliments, as God Is the One Who Created all that there is ~ world without end.

I'm sorry for the loss you've suffered of in recent times. Death will always be one of the most challenging events -to deal with- during our earthly lives, but faith heals all things, all pain, all darkness.
God often Speaks in mysterious and unpredictable ways – even through pain.
He Is closer to you than you are to yourself.
He Desires to Give you all the love that you can possibly contain.
He Established a home within your heart so as to sustain you breath after breath after breath after breath…

Pray for your friend, Roland – I will too.
Pray for light to enter his/her soul, so that eternal rest and peace may be granted onto him/her.
Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ May grasp his/her hand and Lift him/her up onto that glorious terrace from which all creations can be admire: right at the feet of the Most Glorious Trinity Whom Is the Alpha and The Omega.
Pray that he/she may be in the Holy Presence of The Creator of a trillion stars and of ten billion comets traveling in the imaginative space and time of His wondrous Mind.
Pray that he/she may enjoy the unfathomable ecstasy of living in the presence of Paradise Forever Eternal with its ceaseless angelic choirs.

Thank you again for your support, my dear friend.

God Bless youand please, feel free to contact me at any time.

My sense of awe is restored.

What a beautiful way to pause and reflect on the miracles we see around us every day.

We are each a miracle, too, given a physical body with which to explore this wonderful planet and universe.

This post made me think differently about a few things, and I'd like to call them out

For one, I have often gazed at the stars for rather lengthy times, especially being blessed to live outside city limits where there aren't any streetlights to compete with the Milky Way. It never once occurred to me that because the sun paints a blue glaze over the sky, we can't see the stars during the day! I thought that was a rather insightful and poetic thought.

I also loved the comment about the moon pretending to have its own light. That is most certainly true. I'm sure that for centuries, people didn't know that it just reflects the sun's light. As a child, I was definitely under the impression that the moon gave light. I remember being rather disillusioned when I found out that it didn't! As a matter of semantics, the moon "gives" light in the sense that it provides light at night. Isn't it rather lucky for us that the moon lights the darkness just enough so we can get around? Or perhaps luck has nothing to do with it.

It occurs to me that the Sun makes it possible to live, but if we didn't have nights, we would all perish from the heat of the sun. It seems the divine plan creates balance.

Thank you so much for including God's Answer to Job (as well as the beautiful pictures). It's an eloquent treatise on the complexity and enormity of the Universe.

While our physical bodies are small and powerless in comparison, I still believe that we, also, are part of the plan.

Thanks so much for a thoughtful post.

      Dear Andrea,

Thank you so much for your words.

Your sense of awe was a treasure already living in the depths of your being. God Resides in the deepest recesses of our hearts, where we can escape from the monotonous ways of men – when our spirit is lifted towards Our Lord's Marvels.

The stars are always there – just as God Is. And If the bright day-sky covers them from our view, so do the thoughts of our minds and the daily dealings within our lives: they will obscure the bright Mystery of Our Creator.
When you say "we, also, are part of the plan" you state the truth: Jesus Christ, indeed, Was Sent to die because a plan does exist, indeed: it is to eternally live in our new Home, called GOD'S KINGDOM, where all that is will infinitely surpass man's greatest dreams of Glory.

We, then, will be the reflection of that unfathomable Glory in the way the Moon mirrors the Sun's light ~

Pray always, dear Andrea, and remember:

Our Father, Who Art in Heaven,
His Son, Who Sits at His Right Hand,
And The Holy Spirit, Who Proceeds from the Father and the Son,
Love you (as well as all of us) with a boundless and unimaginable LOVE ~

We all sometimes forget to be thankful towards God. We forget to thank Him for giving us this wonderful life we are living. We forget to take 5 minutes to watch a sunrise and to thank God for creating it. And there are so many other amazing things that are utterly amazing which we just take for granted.

The Sun is indeed the giver of life, a beautiful ball of fire that we can’t really look at. Is it right there in front of our eyes and yet we cannot look at it. I also thought about what you said, that “a billion Suns at night can be stared upon for hours but one Sun at day is forbidden to be glanced for even one instant?”. It is hard to understand why this is and we may never know.

Thank you for this sublime reflection, Paul! It is like a breath of fresh air for me, helping me find answers and creating new questions in my mind. It was wonderful to read your inspired words. God Bless!

      Dearest Mazina,

As that God's Created work of perfect engineering called Sun is, once again, sustaining us on this very day, we humbly recognize the wonderful gifts present under its light. It is because of its energy that you, Mazina, and I, Paul, are able to meet through this invisible virtual wave that is the Internet.

I am most flattered by your kindness and undeserved generosity. Your words and reflections inspire me to continue walking on this unknown path laid in front of me by God's Hand.

It's all about God, His Love and His Creation.
It's all of His Own Doing. All Glory and Honor are His, forever and ever.

Thanks for giving me hope through your witnessing.
Please, pray for me: that I may be granted the grace and strength to love God's enemies.
And I will surely pray for you: that, one day in endless glory, you may become one of the radiant stars that God Meant you to be in His Kingdom of Love Eternal .

      Amen ~

      Paul Joseph
